I am a Psychodynamic Counsellor, accredited by the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) and I adhere to its ethical framework for good practice in counselling and psychotherapy. I am also a Psychodynamic Psychotherapist registered with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).
I completed my training with a postgraduate clinical qualification in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy at wpf Therapy in London, which is recognised and renowned as one of the leading and well-respected counselling and psychotherapy training organisations in the UK. wpf‘s rigorous professional programmes which are both long and intensive, take place over several years. They are based on psychoanalytic principles and methods. wpf-trained counsellors and psychotherapists are qualified to practise in-depth work. I continue my professional development through ongoing training and consultation. I am also committed to my own continuing personal development.
I am a member of The Foundation for Psychotherapy and Counselling which is my professional organisation.
I have over ten years experience of long and short term work as a counsellor and psychotherapist working for local counselling agencies, Primary Care/GP/NHS and EAP referals and in Private Practice. I also have considerable experience of lecturing on counselling courses in both college and counselling foundation environments.
